We happily share the news that we’re honoured to join Jenseits von Front@: \u00dcberbr\u00fcckung der Peripherie<\/em> – a new Creative Europe project! Dance Communication Lab \u2013 DCL is the part of this program.<\/p>\n

\u201eBeyond Front@: Bridging Periphery\u201c ist ein Projekt im Rahmen von \u201eKreatives Europa\u201c (2023\u20132026), das ins Leben gerufen wurde von Central Europe Dance Theatre \u2013 CEDT<\/em> (Ungarn), Bunker<\/em> (Slowenien), Kroatisches Institut f\u00fcr Bewegung und Tanz \u2013 HIPP<\/em> (Kroatien), Krakauer Tanztheater - Krakowski Teatr Ta\u0144ca<\/em> (Polen), M-Studio <\/em>(Rum\u00e4nien) und Vitlycke - CPA<\/em> (Schweden) zur F\u00f6rderung der lokalen Entwicklung im Bereich des zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Tanzes.<\/p>\n

As the next step of the project Central Europe Dance Theatre (CEDT) announces an international OPEN CALL for participation in DCL \u2013 Tanz-Kommunikationslabor<\/em><\/strong> in Budapest<\/em> for dancers from the partner countries: Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, Romania and Sweden.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But firstly, what is a DCL in general?<\/strong> DCL \u2013 Dance communication Lab is a short-term exchange formula between dancers, where the main aim is, that 6 professional dancers, coming from the above mentioned partner countries get to know each other through improvisation, which is the most distinctive process of creation in contemporary dance. The 2 day-long research project will take place under the mentorship of a Hungarian dancer-choreographer. The focus of DCL is the embodiment of imagination.<\/p>\n

Key working elements are intentions and acting\/operating \u2013 what dancers are causing with their doing in the performing space and how this effects them. This imaginative process will be embodied in a short performance in the end.<\/p>\n

The performance might take any format or location (e.g. indoor, outdoor, walking), length is usually between 15-40 min and has public audience.<\/p>\n

DCL CEDT-Budapest will take place \u00a015th<\/sup> -17th<\/sup> November 2023 as part of the annual Sissi Herbst-Tanzwoche<\/em> (S\u0150T7) at the Bethlen Square Theater.<\/p>\n

Wann? <\/em><\/strong>The creation will be presented on the 17th<\/sup> November<\/p>\n

This DCL will conclude with a public improvised performance, presented on 17th<\/sup> November, the closing day of Sissi Herbst-Tanzwoche<\/em>. So, we will meet a bit earlier on the 14th<\/sup> at your arrival.<\/p>\n

The work starts on the 15th<\/sup> and last 16th<\/sup>. Daily schedule of \u201crehearsals\u201d \u2013 indoor at our rehearsing venue \u2013 will be discussed with the mentor later. Your departure day will be 18th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Wo? <\/em><\/strong>What will be the exact location of the performance? Exact? Hmm… DCL can pop-up wherever in the city! Keep an eye out!<\/p>\n
