Milan Tomasik: This company is made up of wonderful people ... so I cannot wish them anything but the best!

Milan Tomasik, choreographer of the Krakow Dance Theatre, will bring his production Treatise to SŐT7 in November. What makes the performance special is that the starting point of the creative process is a graphic diagram, on the basis of which the dancer has created his choreography. This is how Milan expressed his experience:

"This was one of the most enjoyable yet professional experiences I have had. I was lucky to be selected for the Beyond Front@ project, which allowed me to create a graphic figure-based dance work. Collaboration was smooth and enjoyable, with a strength of mutual respect amongst the creative team members.

In the first week of the project we had a minor accident, or rather injury. One of the dancers sprained his ankle, which left us with the dilemma of what to do next. We discussed the situation long and hard and decided to stick with the original cast - hoping that in time everything would recover. All I had to do was be extra creative to make the piece, written for five dancers, work with practically only four of us! Fortunately, the creative period was split into two parts, including a five-week break.

This company is made up of wonderful people - hard-working, creative and hard-working - so I can't wish them anything but the best!"
