Csilla Nagy is a dance artist, choreographer and dance teacher, who studied at the Hungarian Dance Academy and CODARTS Academy in Rotterdam.She has been working with the Artus-Goda Gábor Company since 2008 and has been realizing her own artistic projects with Cipolla Collective since 2012.

“As an artist, I have been interested from the very beginning in abstracting individuals’ personal stories and elevating them to a universal level, as well as in incorporating the personal experiences of the participating partners into the jointly created production. Within the layers of our personalities—much like the layers of an onion—there are parts that are more endearing and others that are harder to accept, yet together they make up who we are. The goal is to reconcile these differing parts, to embrace vulnerability, to accept fallibility, and to explore how to rise above it. Irony is important to me, and humor is even more so: Let’s take ourselves only as seriously as is absolutely necessary!”
