The word that we can have knowledge and even experience forever! When we are in flow, every moment expands, past-present-future merges, time disappears, on a linear level. And we have the feeling that we just are.... /We have these experiences in our private state and in our early years, but in adulthood we have to do something to rise above the limits of our ego and get there./
But what is unity? What makes something one, or not one...? Is it because we are in the same space or because we are doing the same thing? Do we make rules? What makes a family a family, a team a football team, a choir a choir, a nation a nation?
Where is the sense of belonging born? Is it in individuals, or is it something much larger than individuals? And is this something tangible, can it be felt in our cells? What is the essence of unity?
Is there a moment that can neither be added to nor taken away, complete exactly as it is? And can this moment be full of change, eternal, and in union with our fellow human beings, joyful?
In our performance Amoeba we offer answers to these questions, and we also try to make the spectator part of the unity created in the performance, even if he is sitting and watching.
Csilla Gesztelyi Nagy - dance artist, choreographer, body awareness trainer, Craniosacral therapist
As a dance artist and choreographer, experiments in movement improvisation have been a major focus of my work over the last 10 years. I explore different qualities of movement and try to represent them in different ways, playing with the energy flows associated with the movements. I am trying to experience something that emanates from the body, but transcends the physical being, and
which makes the movement 'magical', natural, joyful.I explore the relationship between the physical body and the energy body on an individual level and in improvisational interactions between dancers. This is based on existing techniques, in my case the Skinner Release Technique- body awareness method, and Tai Chi (martial arts) and Chikung, Craniosacral Biodynamics (healing treatment) and Relationship Healing (energetic method)), which I have reached the current stage through regular practice. Which is in fact not only a station, but a process where I am becoming more and more at home, creating; and where I am being joined by newer and newer fellow creatives. The very first such decisive encounter and creation was with Julia Vavra, which gave birth to our piece Ö B Ö L, the next work is Amőba (group choreography) and The Mystery of the Body, a performance with David Mikó.
