Born in 1982 in Bojnice, Slovakia, Andrej Petrovic studied at the Dance Conservatory in Banska Bystrica before joining Študio Tanca Professional Dance Theatre / Zuzana Hájková.
Her previous work has taken her to places such as the Editta Braun Company in Salzburg, Fatou Traore in Brussels, Giorgio Barberio Corsetti and Fatore Kappa Physical Theatre in Rome, Jean Abreu Dance Company in London and she has also worked with Jaroslav Vinarsky in Prague.
In 2007, he joined the Akram Khan Company, where he worked as a dancer and rehearsal director for Bahok, Confluence, Vertical Road. This period of more than ten years not only developed his technique but also nurtured his creativity. This gave her the opportunity to use her personal development to share her ideas with Akram Khan, making her a dancer and co-creator of the opening of the London 2012 Olympic Games, or the company's production of iTMOi, as well as assistant choreographer of the award-winning Giselle, reimagined for the English National Ballet.
Based on his experiences, Andrej Petrovic started his own creative work and worked with the following companies, building and developing his style: the London/Sadlers Wells Theatre, the Slovak National Theatre, the Kecskemét City Ballet and the National Youth Dance Company.
His solo performance L/One of the Seven, created in 2016, is based on the seven deadly sins, with a special focus on lust as one of the seven. Performer Martina Hajdyla Lacova was nominated for a Czech Thalia Awards in Prague for her performance in the production.
Currently working with the Viliam Dočolomanky/Farm in the Cave International Theatre Studio, his professionalism shines through in all his work.
