Lóránd Zachár

Lóránd was born in Budapest. After graduating from the Tálentum Folk Dance and Folk Music Academy, he was signed to the Budapest Dance Ensemble, then to the Rock Theatre, the Budapest Ballet, then to the Vígszínház, the Madách Theatre, the Budapest Dance Theatre, the Pécs Ballet, and later to the Dutch Djazz-ex and Danceworks Rotterdam. Today she is still an active dancer, but increasingly concentrates on teaching and choreography. He has been asked to teach courses and choreograph all over Europe, which he has done with great success in his unique style. She has worked with such distinguished masters and choreographers as Andrea Ladányi, Attila Egerházi, Gábor Bakó, Gyula Berger, Béla Földi, Pál Frenák, József Gajdos, István Herczog, Tamás Juronics, György Krámer, Éva Matetics, Iván Markó, Tibor Somogyi, Szirmai Béla, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Bruno Listopad, Dana Caspersen, Doug Elkins, Glenn van der Hoff, Neel Verdoorn, Phillip Adams, Rafael Bonachella, Raza Hammadi, Sana van der Putt, Sean Curran, Ton Simmons Tom Stuart, Vassilij Sullich, Sean Curran, Randall Scott, Thomas Noone. Some of the masterpieces from his wide repertoire, Tűz birdár (Budapest Dance Theatre / Ballet Jazz Art Paris, France), Aida-Verdi (Inversedance - Fodor Zoltán Társ Társ), Shadows and Desires (Szeged Contemporary Ballet).

Lóránd has taught modern dance (art-jazz style) as a guest teacher at the Hungarian University of Dance, Codarts Rotterdam, ZHdK Zurich Academy of Arts, EADCN Portuguese National Dance Conservatory, Henny Jurriëns Studios Amsterdam, Centro Formazione Aida Milan, NOD Nuova Officina della Danza Turin, and the Dance Institute Belgrade, among others.

Lóránd's work is constantly searching for the meaning behind the movements, sometimes in a clear and simple way, sometimes by reaching complex extremes of the body. Experimental ideas are combined with contemporary dance techniques, making his training very interesting and unique. He uses his unique and specific body language to maximize physical gifts. Her floor technique, often used in a series of training sessions, aims to experience fluidity. Her movement combinations and partner work are characterized by a highly isolated and self-conscious use of the body.
