Winter: quiet, calm, peace.
Winter: sleep, ageing, passing away, death.
Winter: letting go of the old, the unnecessary, saying goodbye.
Winter: renewal, new beginning, revival.
Carnival.
Winter: change.

Lonely singing, somewhere in a room, in varying tones.
A winter journey from the snowfield outside to a room of your own.
Movement in time, history of change in the language of dance.

"A Winter Song is an inner journey, composed of moods rather than a specific story. Winter has a darker tone most of the time, while there are many other 'colours' to this season. Winter is also a season of passing, ageing, death, letting go, waiting, change, rebirth-revival, rest, dream, carnival and celebration. During the rehearsal process, we were inspired by Schubert's song cycle Winter Journey, but we also talked about fairy tales, which have been a strong preoccupation of mine lately, including the classic Rapunzel and Russian fairy tales." /Pataky Klári/
