In recent years, Rita G\u00f3bi has focused mainly inward, her solo lectures have been concerned with the individual, his physical possibilities and his relationship to himself. Continuing this inward journey, this time she explores the relationship between the individual and the community. What does it mean to live in community? Why does the individual seek to find community? Why does a community admit one person while excluding others? Do we want to live in a community out of selfishness or altruism? How far have we moved away from the ancient pack mentality?<\/p>

Rita G\u00f3bi is a dance artist, choreographer and dance teacher, who researches the specific part of the dance language. She was born in Novi Sad, Vojvodina, where she started her dance studies and graduated from the Hungarian Dance Academy in Budapest. She started her career at the P\u00e9cs Ballet, then \"danced\" the independent dance scene - she danced with the Yvette Bozsik Company, R\u00e9ka Szab\u00f3's T\u00fcnetEgypsie, the Andax\u00ednh\u00e1z, the Natural Nests Collective and the \u00c9va Duda Company, and in 2006 she founded the Rita G\u00f3bi Company. She has created several full-length choreographies, in recent years with foreign partners.<\/p>

In the last few years, I have mainly choreographed solo and duet performances, but I have a long-standing desire to work with group dynamics. As an independent creator, I cannot sustain a large group or performance; I can only practice large-scale choreographic editing through teaching. So I consider the opportunity offered by the Central European Dance Theatre as a great opportunity.<\/p>
