The 2024/2025 season kicks off with 40 events across more than 10 venues over nearly 10 days!

INPUT FESZT will be held for the first time between September 13 and 22, during which innovative co-working spaces—which formed a professional association just under a year ago—will showcase their offerings in five districts of the capital.

Last season, the INPUT Behind the scenes, the company carried out significant professional work. The September festival was brought to life by INPUT’s debut before the general public and the absence of the season-opening festival that was regularly held on Andrássy Avenue in the early 2000s. The venues are preparing programs characteristic of their operations and profiles. As the programs took shape, key themes emerged that are equally important to every institution, so discussions will also take place on these topics. These include education, the presence of technology in the performing arts, sustainable and green operations, the portrayal of women’s lives and energies, and community/participatory theater. We can expect a festival that is diverse in both genre and participants, as the range extends from prose plays through contemporary dance and movement arts to new circus, and from acrobats and art school students to community theater.

The festival also aims to showcase the cultural vibrancy of each district through these venues, as these core institutions and locations help shape a city’s cultural identity; which is why it was also an important consideration in the planning that each day would focus on a specific district.
